Deputy ClerkThe Deputy Clerk provides high-level administrative and operational support to City Hall and city leadership. This role oversees administrative staff, utility billing, permits, licensing, and election coordination while assisting with budgeting, reporting, and municipal operations. The position ensures accurate recordkeeping, regulatory compliance, and responsive customer service to residents, businesses, and city officials.Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee monthly utility billing operations and customer account correspondence.Supervise City Hall administrative staff and coordinate daily office operations.Administer city permits and licenses, including alcohol and gaming applications, renewals, and compliance with state regulations.Coordinate municipal elections and maintain knowledge of election laws and procedures.Assist with budgeting, audit preparation, reporting, and financial administrative support.Provide information and assistance to residents, businesses, and contractors regarding city services, permits, and zoning regulations.Support development and construction processes in coordination with the Building Official.Assist the City Administrator with municipal projects, reports, and operational needs.Provide excellent customer service at the front counter, by phone, and through written communication.Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.
