Experience:

• Work in CATIA V5/V6 to design and model fixturing for holding vehicle parts during processes such as welding, painting, assembly, and testing.
• Understand body part construction, datums, and weld information to incorporate into fixture design.
• Perform layout checks with all users involved to confirm fixtures meet all requirements.
• Export 3D/2D data and outsource to suppliers for quotes and ordering.
• Research ways to improve fixturing or processes.
• Support any other requests for fixturing, test equipment, or prototyping needs within the company.
• Support development groups such as Interior Design by creating data for evaluation models.
• Assist Aerodynamic teams by designing wind tunnel test models.
