Position Summary

The Luxury Residential AV Design Engineer is responsible for the design and engineering of high-end residential audio-visual, lighting, shading, control, and networking systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer luxury residential AV and smart home systems
  • Create detailed system drawings and documentation using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Visio
  • Design and support Lutron and Crestron lighting and shading systems
  • Develop control system designs using Control4 platforms
  • Design and document residential networking and IT infrastructure
  • Review architectural drawings and construction documents
  • Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and presentations as needed
  • Support project teams through installation, commissioning, and project closeout


Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience designing luxury residential AV and smart home systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Visio
  • Hands-on experience with Lutron and Crestron lighting and shading
  • Working knowledge of Control4 control systems
  • Strong understanding of networking and IT design principles
  • Professional communication skills and customer-facing experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications (Lutron, Crestron, Control4, AVIXA, Cisco, etc.)
  • Experience working with architects, builders, and interior designers
  • Background in high-end or custom residential environments
