About the Role: We’re helping a manufacturing client find a hands-on Design Engineer to transform customer and internal requirements into practical, manufacturable designs that meet performance, quality, cost, and delivery objectives. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and operations—to support rapid product development, design for manufacturability, and continuous improvement in a high-mix, low-volume environment.What You’ll Do:Create and release 2D drawings and 3D models for custom fabricated assemblies and componentsSupport new product introductions (NPI) through concept development, prototyping, and production launchApply Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Assembly (DFA), and Cost (DFC) principlesReview customer specifications, drawings, and models; identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunitiesCollaborate with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and operations to ensure manufacturable, cost-effective designsParticipate in design reviews and technical problem-solving for quality, fit, function, and performanceProvide technical support on the shop floor during build, test, and validation activitiesMentor and support less experienced engineers or designersWhat We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)Experience with 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing creation (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar)Experience designing welded, fabricated, or machined componentsFamiliarity with custom manufacturing, low-volume/high-mix, or OEM environments a plusStrong mechanical aptitude, practical problem-solving skills, and attention to detailAbility to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentWhy You’ll Love It Here:Take ownership of designs from concept to productionWork on custom, high-impact projects that are actually built and usedBe part of a team-first culture with opportunities to mentor and growCompetitive salary and benefitsLocation: New Holstein, WI Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
