About the Role
We’re looking for a Founding Design Engineer to own the space between product design and front-end engineering. You will transform prototypes and interaction concepts into refined, production-ready features. This role shapes how users experience the product from first touch, partnering closely with design and product teams to deliver interfaces that are visually polished, thoughtfully engineered, and delightful to use. It is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design craft, UX judgment, and technical execution. This is a five-day onsite role with no remote or hybrid options.

What You’ll Do
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate concepts into intuitive interfaces
• Build functional interactive prototypes to validate patterns, motion, and user flows
• Implement polished production-level UI with modern front-end technologies and exceptional detail
• Develop and evolve the design system for visual cohesion and scalable architecture
• Influence product direction and engineering decisions as a core founding team member

Requirements

• Three to six years of experience as a Design Engineer, front-end engineer with strong design sense, or designer who codes

• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling

• Experience creating high-fidelity prototypes and iterating quickly based on feedback

• Strong visual and interaction design skills including typography, layout, motion, and micro-interactions

• Enthusiasm for a fast-paced design-first startup where craft and iteration speed matter
