Design Engineer Apply
- Work in CATIA V5/V6 to design and model fixturing for holding vehicle parts during processes such as welding, painting, assembly, and testing.
- Understand body part construction, datums, and weld information to incorporate into fixture design.
- Perform layout checks with all users involved to confirm fixtures meet all requirements.
- Export 3D/2D data and outsource to suppliers for quotes and ordering.
- Research ways to improve fixturing or processes.
- Support any other requests for fixturing, test equipment, or prototyping needs within the company.
- Support development groups such as Interior Design by creating data for evaluation models.
- Assist Aerodynamic teams by designing wind tunnel test models.
