A Global Manufacturing company is seeking a Design Project Manager to help lead the design of complex, high-performance specialty enclosures for advanced testing environments. This role bridges engineering design and project execution—ideal for someone who enjoys a technical challenge and thrives in collaborative, cross-functional settings.About the RoleThis position offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and realization of highly specialized building systems. The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical knowledge, creative problem-solving, and a strong foundation in commercial building systems—particularly structural elements, MEP coordination, and systems integration.You’ll work closely with internal teams across engineering, sales, and operations, as well as external partners including design consultants and construction managers, to bring sophisticated projects to life.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the full building systems design cycle—from conceptual layout through to construction documentationApply 3D modeling tools (such as Revit or other CAD platforms) to develop structural and MEP layoutsCoordinate with project stakeholders to produce permit-ready documentationContribute to system design decisions including electrical, HVAC, fire protection, and communicationsPerform structural evaluations and contribute to code-compliant, constructible solutionsSupport internal planning through estimating, scheduling, and documentation reviewCollaborate with quality and safety teams to ensure project alignment with industry standardsEngage with cross-functional teams and contribute to design discussions and solution developmentPreferred Experience and SkillsProven background in building systems design and coordination within commercial or industrial environmentsWorking knowledge of relevant codes (IBC, NEC, NFPA 101, mechanical/plumbing codes, etc.)Experience with Revit or similar BIM/CAD softwareStrong organizational and project coordination capabilitiesFamiliarity with QA/QC processes and construction documentationAbility to communicate clearly across disciplines and build strong working relationshipsExposure to permitting processes and optimization of systems for constructabilityProfessional certifications (EIT, PE, general contractor license, etc.) are a plusSolid foundation in software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similarAbility to manage tasks in a team-oriented environment and contribute to group successEducationDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferredAdvanced education or certification in engineering, building construction, or business is a plus
