Job Description:We are seeking a highly motivated Design & Release Engineer with expertise in Chassis and Suspension systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in design and development engineering within automotive OEMs or Tier 1 Chassis Suppliers. The role requires leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop chassis and suspension systems.
- Conduct Design/Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Develop and manage Design Verification Plans & Reports (DVP&R).
- Apply Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles and reactive problem-solving techniques.
- Oversee system/component design processes and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Manage change processes effectively.
- Utilize NX (STLA CAD Platform) and Teamcenter (STLA Product Data Management System) for design and data management.
- Summarize and present work to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Supervise engineering teams as required.
- Prepare and deliver reports using Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Chassis and Suspension experience is mandatory.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in quality assurance and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with supplier quality assurance processes.
- Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields (or equivalent):
- Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering
- Agricultural Engineering
- Biomedical/Biomechanical/Bioengineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Materials Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
Degree must be from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)-accredited university.
