DIRECT HIRE DESKTOP SUPPORT - $65-$75K DOE About the Role Are you the go-to person for solving tech issues in your circle? Do you love tinkering with computers, troubleshooting networks, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes? If so, we want you on our team as our next IT Desktop Support Associate! You’ll be the hero our employees turn to when their laptops crash, printers refuse to cooperate, or they need help staying connected remotely. Working closely with our Managed Service Provider (MSP) and as a critical point person for our ERP system, Visibility, you’ll ensure all our IT systems—PCs, networks, phones, and software—run like a well-oiled machine. From setting up new devices to solving VPN mysteries and supporting ERP operations, your role is essential to keeping the company’s tech world turning. If you have experience in the manufacturing industry, ERP systems (bonus if it’s Visibility), and working with international companies, you’ll bring invaluable expertise to this role. This isn’t just an IT support position—it’s a dual role where you’ll liaise with our IT consultant and help optimize ERP processes while being the trusted in-house IT problem solver. What You’ll Do As the IT Desktop Support Associate, you’ll be the first line of defense for all things tech-related. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like: Team up with our Managed Service Provider to manage and resolve IT tickets—whether it’s setting up new PCs, troubleshooting software, or fixing connectivity issues. Be the go-to for first-level tech support, solving hardware and network issues for our employees, both on-site and remote. Act as the point person for ERP support, specifically working heavily with our ERP system, Visibility. Collaborate with our IT consultant to address IT and ERP-related challenges, acting as a liaison to bridge in-house needs with external expertise. Assist remote users with VPN setup and troubleshooting, ensuring everyone stays connected no matter where they are. Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and phone systems, making sure everything works perfectly. Monitor system performance, keeping everything secure and reliable—because we know how important a solid IT infrastructure is! Document, escalate, and track unresolved issues, ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks. Help ensure our tech setup complies with company policies, security protocols, and industry regulations, from EH&S to ISO standards. Qualifications What do you need to bring to the table? We’re looking for someone who has: A Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, IT, or a related field—you’ve got the knowledge, now it’s time to put it to use! Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintaining PCs, software, networks, and phone systems—you love solving tech puzzles. Excellent communication skills—you know how to explain technical issues to non-tech folks without the jargon. Strong organizational skills and a knack for managing multiple tickets and tasks at once—because in IT, there's always something to do! Experience in the manufacturing industry— you understand the unique challenges and tech needs of this environment. Bonus Points For: Experience with ERP systems—working with Visibility is a huge plus! Experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP)—collaborating to resolve tickets like a pro. Familiarity with network security protocols—you know how to keep our systems safe and sound. Experience working with international companies—you can help navigate global tech challenges. A proven ability to handle dual roles, seamlessly supporting both IT operations and ERP-related functions.
