Job Description :-
The Flex Technician is a cross-functional role responsible for both technical hardware support and logistics operations. This includes diagnosing and hardware issues, monitoring inventory, shipping and receiving assets, and ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with client service level agreements (SLAs). The Flex Technician plays a vital part in maintaining service efficiency and operational accuracy across both domains.
Principal Responsibilities
· Hardware Support
· Diagnose, replicate, and resolve customer hardware issues (triage).
· Configure equipment for new hires and rebuild repairs.
· Monitor hardware repair tickets and log detailed defect summaries.
· Escalate unresolved issues to management or QA teams.
· Logistics & Inventory Management
· Perform inbound and outbound logistics including shipping, receiving, and asset storage.
· Unpack, verify, and document received goods; reject unsatisfactory items when necessary.
· Prepare shipments and assist with bulk kitting and returns.
· Maintain accurate records of inventory and perform cycle counts.
· Ensure proper storage, physical tracking, and security of all assets.
· Systems and Tools
· Process asset transactions, allocations, receipts, and shipments using order/inventory management systems.
· Maintain up-to-date asset location and assignment records.
· Use inventory systems and Excel to support reporting, pivoting, and data accuracy.
· Other Duties
· Support special projects or initiatives as assigned.
· Update technical documentation and contribute to knowledge bases.
· Maintain an organized, clean, and safe working environment.
Job Requirements
· Education & Experience
· High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree or technical certifications (e.g., A+) preferred.
· 2–3 years of experience in either hardware repair or logistics/inventory management; cross-functional experience preferred.
Skills
· Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills for hardware and peripherals.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, and basic networking.
· Familiarity with Apple products and logistics systems.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain a physically active role.
· Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
