Desktop Support Technician Apply
Overview We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide hands‑on technical support in a Windows‑based corporate environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting end‑user issues, maintaining workstations, and delivering excellent customer service to ensure daily business operations run smoothly. Responsibilities Provide desktop support for Windows 10/11 systems, including hardware, software, and peripheral troubleshooting. Respond to and resolve end‑user issues related to applications, operating systems, printers, and mobile devices. Support Office 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. Perform workstation imaging, deployment, configuration, and refreshes using standard enterprise tools. Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues including Wi‑Fi, VPN, and LAN access. Perform user account administration tasks such as password resets and account unlocks in Active Directory or Azure AD. Document incidents, resolutions, and procedures within the ticketing system. Escalate complex or unresolved issues to Tier 2 or infrastructure teams as needed. Provide in‑person and remote support while maintaining a professional, customer‑focused approach. Qualifications 1–3 years of desktop or help desk support experience in a Windows environment. Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems. Experience supporting Office 365 and common enterprise applications. Familiarity with imaging and deployment tools such as SCCM, MDT, or Intune. Basic understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, and VPN. Strong communication, troubleshooting, and customer service skills. Preferred Skills Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira. Exposure to hardware break/fix and asset management. IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $23.00/hr.
