Job Description
Methodworks Consulting is seeking a full-time Desktop Support Technician with the desire to learn more about the advanced technologies we work with. This position will offer you an opportunity for hands-on experience with IT Systems, software, IT architecture, and infrastructure according to industry standards.
Essential Job Functions:
- Function as a Desktop Support Technician (DST) providing professional, high-level customer service.
- Provide IT support for client software, desktops, and network infrastructure.
- Provide remote support and onsite troubleshooting (workstations, printers, etc.).
- Support Microsoft Technologies, including Windows Server and Windows 11.
- Installs, maintains, supports, and troubleshoots operating systems and a wide variety of software applications, peripheral devices, and network connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot at the network level: LAN/WAN, routers, firewalls, and security.
- Monitor and respond to alerts in ticketing systems (Atera), log all work in the ticketing systems, and enter time and expenses accurately.
- Document standard operating procedures.
- Communicate clearly with clients: status updates, next steps, expected downtime, and changes.
- Provide support for all Apple and Android devices, including phones and tablets.
- Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to engage with staff, clients, and colleagues across multiple office and remote locations with timely written communication, remote teleconference presence, and phone contact as needed.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPN connectivity, etc.).
- Must be organized, follow through and make sure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- 2+ years’ experience supporting end-users with computer hardware, software, and networking protocols.
- Extensive support experience in a Windows based environment.
- Office 365, Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows desktops, (VMware knowledge of scripting languages, including power-shell, is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Fast learner and team player.
- Sufficient mobility to perform duties in small spaces involving crouching, stooping, kneeling, and physical strength to lift 30-45lbs.
- Pre-Employment criminal background check.
- Washington State driver's license for client site visits.

Wage - $25.00 - $31.00
