FOREIGN NATIONALS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED.POSITION OVERVIEW:The technical expert required must be a hands-on Mission Platform Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer able to provision, deploy, secure, and operate mission-critical environments supporting the NATO LOGFAS and Nexus LCM’s JEDI Software across training, customer, exercise, and cloud contexts. The role combines operational systems engineering with cloud support, deployment automation and reproducibility (VMs/containers), and network/data integration under Cross Domain Solution (CDS) constraints.In addition to technical delivery, this role is expected to build a strong practical understanding of JEDI Software usage in operational contexts in order to provide effective exercise support and functional assistance to end users when needed.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Provision and configure mission platform infrastructure, including support for specialized compute (e.g., GPU-enabled systems for AI workloads).Install, deploy, harden, and maintain LOGFAS and JEDI Software across multiple environments (training, customer, exercise, and cloud).Troubleshoot and resolve issues across OS, application, networking, identity/access, and performance layers.Support network/data integration efforts under Cross Domain Solution (CDS) constraints (e.g. from NIPR to MPN), including assisting with workflows for controlled data movement, validation steps, auditing requirements, and operational coordination.Collaborate with security/network stakeholders to align implementation with rules of use, accreditation constraints, and operational realities.Provide technical support and platform readiness for training, deployments, site ops, and othersExecute installation, configuration, validation, and rapid troubleshooting during time-constrained operational windows.Build and maintain a working functional understanding of JEDI Software workflows as used during exercises and operations.Automate deployment and updates for JEDI Software (repeatable installation/configuration, environment-specific parameterization, and recovery/rollback steps).Maintain release notes, rollback procedures, and operational documentation supporting rapid recovery during exercises and deployments.Understand DoD security requirements for Windows Server and other systems.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School diploma or equivalent.Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance.5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer / Senior System Administrator working in US Army operational IT environments.2+ years of experience working within U.S. Mission Partner Environment (MPE) classified networks complying with the NATO Federated Mission Network (FMN) standards.Strong hands-on experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and containerization (Docker).Demonstrated ability to deploy and operate complex software platforms in military field/training/exercise environments.Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows systems and networking fundamentals (DNS, routing concepts, ports, segmentation).Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver under time constraints.Based in Wiesbaden, Germany or nearby, with willingness to travel ~1 week per month.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience supporting or operating in classified/restricted environments and/or understanding of CDS operational constraints.Familiarity with LOGFAS, JEDI Software, or similar mission platforms.Azure/AWS experience (VPC concepts, security groups, IAM fundamentals, EC2/storage/logging/monitoring basics).Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.) and documentation discipline.Exposure to cybersecurity, hardening, vulnerability management, or security compliance processes.CISSP certificationMicrosoft 365 administrative experience (secondary / plus).A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR;An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;11 years of recent specialized experienceTOOLS:Windows 10/11, Windows ServerVirtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V/KVM), VM templates/baselinesDocker and container workflowsAWS (compute/networking/storage/security fundamentals)Deployment automation (scripts/tooling, configuration management as applicable)Mission applications: LOGFAS, JEDI Software, JEDI MNLOGCOP
