Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Chelsea, MI . Candidate must have strong hands‑on expertise in Core Java, Perl, and PHP to support and enhance legacy and modern application environments. Rate Range: $33/hour to $39/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Responsibilities Providing L2 and L3 support for Java, Perl, PHP, and PowerBuilder applications while resolving issues across Unix/Linux environments. Maintaining and enhancing legacy PowerBuilder components, including debugging Power Script and updating Data Windows. Developing and troubleshooting automation scripts using JavaScript, Perl, and PHP to support operational workflows. Coordinating closely with offshore teams and ensuring smooth customer communication for all support activities. Proactively identifying recurring issues, reducing application incidents, and suggesting technical improvements. Managing DB2 and MariaDB tasks such as configuration, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting to ensure stable system performance. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of experience required. Strong proficiency in Core Java, Perl, PHP, and PowerBuilder with the ability to support, maintain, and troubleshoot legacy applications effectively. Ability to work in Unix/Linux environments while managing DB2/MariaDB tasks and coordinating with offshore teams to ensure smooth operational support.
