If this is the culture and work environment you are seeking, then EBAD is the place for you!Job DescriptionEBAD is seeking a talented Development Engineer, reporting to the Product Development Engineering Lead.Responsibilities:The development engineer (DE) is the technical lead on internal and external projects and is responsible for all technical and schedule aspects of the project/product from concept through development, qualification and production. Primary duties include:Development and maintenance of the technical data package, product testing requirements and methods.Create 3D conceptual models to meet customer design requirementsPerform design trade studies and hand calculationsPerform tolerance studies to ensure design fidelityInteract with customers on design, interface and functional detailsInteract with suppliers to rapid prototype parts for risk reduction testingRequirements generation, allocation, and flow downTechnical compliance and risk assessment/managementCoordination of project team technical tasksCost estimating and management for both proposal and program activityAdditional duties include coordination with other departments to ensure the production viability of new designs, creation of the required documentation, and internal and customer approval for this documentation.Requirements:The successful candidate must have a BS/MS in an engineering discipline and experience in project, design or related engineering experience. Mechanical and/or Aerospace are the preferred engineering disciplines.Required experience includes:Proven leadership of technical teamsAbility to apply customer requirements and government/military specifications to designDemonstrated experience generating 3D models & 2D drawings, SolidWorks preferredCapable of applying GD&T, and understanding how it effects part costStrong written, verbal and presentation skills for interaction with various levels of management and customersDemonstrated competency in problem solving and root cause analysisMust have or be able to obtain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of satellite and launch vehicle systemsExperience with product development, rapid prototyping, and manufacturing processesExperience with leading and managing dynamic and cyclic load testing.Experience with all Microsoft Office tools including MS ProjectANSYS and Solid Works experienceCompensation:Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 per year.
