We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Devon, who are recruiting for a Development Manager on a temporary basis. The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The daily rate of pay is negotiable up to £400 (Via an Umbrella Company).The ideal candidate will have experience managing the full development cycle from land acquisition to sign off and will be based locally to Devon. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Delivering the annual development programme on time, within budget and against agreed KPIsManaging development projects from land acquisition through planning, design, procurement and constructionIdentifying and securing suitable land and property opportunities for developmentAssessing financial viability, negotiating development proposals and presenting programmes to senior management and board membersProcuring and managing consultants, contractors and project teams involved in development deliveryOverseeing planning, technical design, quality and compliance across development projectsWorking in partnership with local authorities, Homes England and external stakeholders on development initiativesMonitoring budgets, risks and project performance to ensure effective programme deliveryManaging and developing the development team, including project managers, clerks of works and support staffProducing reports and analysis to support strategic decision making and programme monitoring What we’re looking for:Strong experience delivering housing development projects within housing associations, local authorities or development organisationsExperience managing multi-disciplinary development teams and external contractorsKnowledge of planning, procurement, construction and development financeStrong leadership, project management and stakeholder engagement skillsWorking hours:37 hours per week Monday – Friday, Flexible daily hours2 days on site/office Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
