We are a dynamic and innovative team seeking a passionate DevOps Engineer to come join our Real-Time Communications department in Stockholm and/or Malmö. Our Real-Time Communications engineering teams are responsible for serving Sinch customers with real-time voice- and video communication solutions and multi-factor authentication solutions.
Role Overview
At Sinch we see DevOps as a culture where we create an aligning between the goals of software and operation engineering teams. Get them to work side-by-side, give them space to learn from each other and build infrastructure platforms and tools.
As a DevOps Engineer at Sinch, you will have ownership of delivery pipelines, infrastructure and service orchestration.
In this role you will enhance our product line teams by building and maintaining world class self-service platforms and tools empowering them to continuously deliver products and features, that scale with quality, resilience, security and availability expected by the biggest tech companies in the world.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our developers and build self-service platforms and tools to enable a DevOps culture at scale.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Set-up monitoring for our infrastructure and services.
- Investigate incidents and make sure the same incident will not happen again by detecting, planning and preforming improvements in our infrastructure.
- Work with implementation and improvements of tools like Kubernetes, Flux, Istio, Terraform and/or similar techniques.
- You will be the go-to person for cloud provider related questions and tasks.
- Help teams to design high availability and high throughput services.
Requirements
- Worked several years as a DevOps engineer or equal position.
- Strong programming and scripting skills.
- Deep knowledge about creating secure and reliable infrastructure in the cloud.
- Experience with setting up and maintaining Kubernetes clusters at scale using tools like Helm and Flux.
- Working knowledge of Linux and networking.
- A bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science or relevant experience.
- Strong communication and social skills. You are diplomatic when needed but are not afraid to challenge other people's views both in your team and across the organisation.
Good to have
- Hands on experience with GitLab CI/CD.
- Hands on experience with GitOps.
- Have in your previous roles mentored engineering teams in DevOps culture.
- Working experience with Infrastructure as Code.
