Depending on experience level, candidates can be considered for Multiple levels – Junior to Senior. We are currently seeking applicants for a DevOps Engineering position in the Digital Workplace department of our Information Services division located in Springfield, Missouri. Be a part of an exciting team focusing on hybrid cloud technologies, with a focus on improving automation, scale, process improvement, metric collection, security, disaster recovery, back-up/restoration, and visibility into technology production health and reliability. The support and troubleshooting of existing systems are part of the core job duties, but the design, coordination, and architecture of new and existing systems are vital to the success of this position. In this position: You will get the opportunity to work alongside engineering groups to architect, design and build enterprise grade solutions using the wide array of technologies at our disposal. This team is looked to for modernizing existing App stacks and innovating new niche business solutions that fit the unique needs of our business partners. To accompany the new solutions, you will be able to work within our portfolio to provide visibility and observability on key metrics and develop automated resolutions/responses to incidents as they arise. You will be responsible for solving problems within mission-critical/real-time systems and finding long term solutions to those problems through automation or refactorization to prevent problem reoccurrence. REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Computer related field, or demonstrated comparable experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree. 2+ to 5 to 5+ years of experience. Systems administration or programming experience is preferred, but all levels will be considered. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and common agile development practices. Competency in automation through general scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, ARM, etc.). Able to learn, embrace and evangelize new technologies that have Enterprise reaching impacts. Experience with forming and reporting SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs a plus. IDEAL CANDIDATE: The Ideal candidate will have experience with working close to or on a software development team. We primarily use Python and PowerShell but any coding experience will be considered. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and configuration managers (ansible, puppet, etc).
