About the role Imagineeer is seeking a DevOps Engineer (NGSC) focused on building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation across AWS and Azure environments. This role will drive infrastructure-as-code practices, container orchestration, and platform security operations including patch and vulnerability management in support of federal mission requirements. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to support application and infrastructure deployment Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Ansible, and related tooling Architect and support cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized workloads on Amazon EKS Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve deployment speed, reliability, and consistency Manage patch management processes across infrastructure and application environments Support vulnerability management activities, including scanning, remediation tracking, and reporting Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to align DevOps practices with federal security and compliance requirements (NIST, FISMA) Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure, pipeline, and deployment issues Partner with Program Management and technical leads to support contract deliverables and documentation Qualifications and Skills 6–10 years of experience in DevOps engineering with strong cloud infrastructure background Hands-on experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipeline development Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Ansible) Proficiency across both AWS and Azure cloud platforms Experience deploying and managing containerized applications on EKS Experience with patch management and vulnerability management processes and tooling Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar) Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team environment Desired Skills and Competencies AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Prior experience supporting federal government contracts Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (Tenable, Nessus, or similar) Experience with container security best practices Additional Information Employment for this position is contingent upon the candidate being a United States citizen and having the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, in accordance with applicable federal regulations.
