DevOps Engineer (Top Secret with agreement to obtain CI Poly) Herndon, Virginia, United States; King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, United States Active TS clearance required; must be eligible for CI Polygraph. Applicants without an active TS clearance will not be considered. North Point Technology is seeking a Software Engineer to support an innovative, mission-focused team. The candidate will provide bug fixes, enhancements, and Graphical User Interface (GUI) improvements to operational applications, develop and deploy software across multiple environments including the cloud, and integrate software solutions in support of the mission. The ideal candidate has strong software development concepts and solid coding skills across a range of tools and technologies. Responsibilities: This role involves hands-on software development to build and deliver new software solutions. Duties include providing bug fixes, enhancements, and GUI improvements to meet operational requirements, and developing and modifying application source code in response to new requirements and change requests. The engineer will develop and deploy software, including in cloud environments, integrate externally developed code into core libraries, and install and configure application software. Additional duties include evaluating third-party vendors and software partners, maintaining the design of software libraries (module API definitions, code organization, and adherence to coding standards), and collaborating with the configuration manager to integrate externally developed software into core libraries. The engineer will assist in developing standards, methods, and procedures for product quality and release readiness, and conduct testing across all levels of the software development life cycle, including regression testing and adherence to testing procedures. Required Skills/Experience: Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and Bash shell scripting Hands-on experience with Kubernetes Software development experience with Python or Java Experience integrating COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) software Experience working in virtualized infrastructure (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure, Proxmox, Google Cloud Platform) Experience with DevOps automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, CloudFormation, and containerization Experience working with PKI certificates, encryption protocols, and SSL/TLS Experience with data exchange formats including JSON and XML Experience preparing program-level and user-level documentation Working knowledge of data transfer protocols such as FTP, SFTP, TFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, and QUIC Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with external authentication methods (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory) Experience with data encryption in a secure environment Experience with JIRA and GitLab Experience configuring and developing in AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments Experience with SQL Experience using Agile software development methodologies as part of an Agile team Experience building application workflows with Apache ActiveMQ Qualifications: Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance For positions requiring a federal security clearance, your clearance level must be clearly identified on your resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr
