Non-Negotiables
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required
You must have experience building, deploying, and maintaining production software systems
Proficiency with Linux/Unix systems such as Rocky or RHEL is essential
Strong Python skills are preferred, but equivalent expertise in C/C++ or Java is acceptable
You must have hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
An active Top Secret clearance is mandatory, and TS/SCI is strongly preferred
You must possess or be able to obtain the CompTIA Security+ certification within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities
You will design, develop, and deploy scalable applications within containerized environments
You will build and manage containerized systems using Docker and Kubernetes to ensure reliability
You will design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable smooth and efficient software delivery
You will develop and optimize ETL pipelines for efficient data processing across systems
You will configure and maintain message queuing systems such as RabbitMQ to support asynchronous workflows
You will write Python scripts to automate infrastructure management and deployment tasks
You will collaborate closely with developers to define deployment best practices and promote clean, maintainable code
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Python data science libraries like NumPy, pandas, or SciPy is a plus
Experience developing RESTful microservices using frameworks such as FastAPI or Spring Boot
A background in refactoring legacy systems into containerized or microservice architectures is valued
Knowledge of database optimization and administration will set you apart
Experience with Agile workflows and tools like Jira is preferred
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation is beneficial
Certifications like AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA, or CKAD are highly regarded
