Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Dev/Research Engineer 3 (Power Conversion Test Engineer). The work will be done onsite full-time in Mossville, IL. This is a 6-month position with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs. Compensation is up to $52/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay). Job Summary Cullerton Group is seeking a hands‑on Power Conversion Test Engineer to support validation testing of advanced electrification and power conversion systems in a laboratory environment. This role focuses on executing detailed hardware test plans, analyzing data, and ensuring test quality and safety compliance. The engineer will collaborate closely with validation and lab support teams to evaluate technical risks and support development of cutting‑edge modular power conversion products used in next‑generation energy and AI data center applications. Safety is the highest priority in this role. Key Responsibilities Execute detailed hardware validation test plans in a lab environment Submit detailed test resource requests 1–2 weeks prior to execution (instrumentation, voltage, power levels, etc.) Perform hands‑on testing of high‑voltage power conversion systems Ensure all data quality documentation and processes are followed before and during testing Conduct data analysis and prepare post‑test summaries and reports Submit continuous improvement ideas to enhance safety, quality, and test efficiency Adhere strictly to all lab safety protocols and PPE requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 2–7 years of relevant hardware testing experience (internships accepted if directly applicable) Experience executing hardware validation testing (software‑only testing will not be considered) Strong data analysis skills Demonstrated commitment to safety in a lab or test environment Ability to work onsite full‑time in Mossville, IL Preferred Qualifications Experience testing chargers, inverters, high‑voltage systems, engines, drivetrains, or other complex electromechanical systems Experience ensuring test data quality and documentation compliance Strong collaboration and communication skills with engineering peers Why This Role?
