Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. Please fill out this application if you are interested in having YKHC support while you train to become a DHAT. Application deadline is JANUARY 9, 2026.Training Program Expectations: As a student, attend all classes and clinical experiences as directed. Successfully complete the 2 year course of education and graduate from the program. The first year of the training program will be held in Anchorage. The second year is in Bethel.Completing the program will result in an Associate Degree.Sponsorship: Your tuition will be paid. You will get a set amount of money for living expenses. You will be assisted with housing arrangements.Expectations After Graduation: Successful completion of a preceptorship in Bethel at YKHC and employment by YKHC for 4 years.Program Qualifications: Pass a background check and drug screen. High School Diploma or GED Recipient. Able and willing to put forth the effort and commit to the time necessary to complete the program successfully, which may result in some family and social sacrifices.
