Job Title: Die Cutter Operator
Location: Onsite, Peachtree City, GA, US
Salary: $52,000 to $72,800

Job Description:
As a Die Cutter Operator, you will operate and maintain the Die Cutter machine to produce high-quality printed materials according to customer specifications. Your role will involve troubleshooting, monitoring operations, and ensuring the final product meets quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Operate the Die Cutter machine, troubleshoot, and monitor its operation.
  • Prepare the Die Cutter by performing tasks to ensure consistent, high-quality output by adjusting the die and register for pressure and cutting.
  • Perform make-ready tasks to ensure high productivity and precision, resolving defects and making necessary adjustments.
  • Oversee general technicians working on equipment, ensuring efficient and rapid make-ready, unloading, and loading.

Quality Assurance:

  • Review jobs for quality and accuracy to ensure they are complete and error-free.
  • Ensure the finished product exceeds customer expectations and all checklists are completed.
  • Support and communicate all ISO standards and quality objectives.
  • Comply with cGMP, HACCP Food Safety Requirements, and Chain of Custody Program Requirements.

Safety:

  • Ensure complete adherence to OHSE policies and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Follow all safety, personal protection, and hazardous materials/waste handling procedures.
  • Use company-provided safety lifting equipment and maintain proper uniform.
  • Properly store and arrange work areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.

Communication:

  • Interact with the team and coworkers respectfully, encouraging cooperation and excellent performance.
  • Communicate accurate information to team members professionally and courteously.
  • Accept direction and feedback from supervisors and follow through appropriately.

Leadership:

  • Create a high-performance environment with positive leadership and strong team orientation.
  • Develop the team and encourage efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communicate regularly with the team towards goals, providing feedback and corrective action as needed.
  • Motivate the crew to improve work quality and quantity, providing training as required.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma (or GED).
  • Minimum of 3 years of Die Cutting experience in the folding carton industry.
  • Experience with die cutters that have blanking capability.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and mathematical skills to compute percentages, weights, and measures.
  • Ability to perform any additional tasks as required by department leads or management.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending, reaching, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and hearing.
  • Frequent lifting of over 60 lbs is required.
  • Manual dexterity to hold, touch, and manipulate products and equipment safely.
  • Good eye-hand coordination and vision capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to rotate shifts and work over 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week as necessary.
