Diesel Forklift Mechanic Apply
About the Role
The Diesel & Forklift Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and forklifts. This role ensures vehicles operate safely and efficiently while adhering to company and regulatory safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and periodic maintenance on diesel trucks, including inspections, fluid changes, brake service, tune-ups, and component repairs.

Conduct minor and major repairs including engine, electrical, transmission, suspension, and body systems.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues.

Use hand and power tools to diagnose and repair equipment.

Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety and regulatory procedures.

Respond to after-hours calls for critical vehicle breakdowns.

Perform other duties as assigned; occasional Saturday work may be required.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; advanced technical/vocational coursework preferred.

Air brake certification; CDL or willingness to obtain.

Minimum 5 years of vehicle repair and maintenance experience.

EPA license for vehicle air conditioning (IMVAC) preferred.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Basic PC skills (Microsoft Office).

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
