Diesel Mechanic Technician Apply
Miller Truck Leasing is hiring an experienced diesel technician to work out of our Rochester, NY shop. Ideal applicants will have experience supporting a diesel fleet and possibly reefer experience along with an interest in advancing their career and technical knowledge.
Diesel Mechanic Technician Duties:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
- Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software) following proper warranty procedures
- Repair / Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments
- Replace clutches & transmissions
Requirements
- 3+ years working as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
- Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
- A valid CDL (Class A or B) OR the ability to acquire a Commercial Driver License with the assistance of our trainer
- Hand tools
- Ability to work either shift:
- Tuesday through Friday 10 AM - 6:30 PM and Saturday 8 AM -4:30 PM
- OR Wednesday through Saturday 8 AM - 6:30 PM (4 - 10 Hour Days)
- Experience working on reefer units is desired; not required
