Diesel Technician Apply
Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. Witha 50+ year foundation, our client supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.
Scope:
Responsibleforinstallation, repair, diagnostics and test of military automotive Environmental Control Systems and Auxiliary Power Units, as a member of our Product Development team.
Job Duties:
- Install and test automotive air conditioning systems
- Mechanical assembly,integrationand testing of Auxiliary Power Units
- Trouble-shootair conditioning systems & diesel engines and generators for malfunctions and diagnose problems
- Perform verification and acceptance testing on development and production assemblies
Requirements:
- 5+ yearsof experience working in machine shops or assembly shops. Preferably with a Defense contractor
- H.S. Diploma or GED is required
- Workingknowledge of engines,generators and related components
- Must be able to read and understand drawingsand specifications
- Self-motivated and can work with little supervision
- Stronganalytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledgeof electrical and hydraulic a plus
- Basiccomputer skills
- Good communication skills
- Strongwork ethic and teamplayer
- Must be able to speak/read/write English
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Seeking experience with diesel or any kind of engines and/or vehicle HVAC systems.
