Location: Onsite at client site near Richmond, VA (Per Diem Available) Schedule: 4x10s, 5x8s, or Compressed 9s (Start ~7 AM) Travel: Not RequiredAbout the RoleWe are hiring on behalf of a direct client based in the Richmond, VA area seeking an experienced Digital Control Systems Administrator for a key nuclear power facility. This role is essential for maintaining and supporting advanced control systems vital to safe plant operations.Per Diem: Candidates living 50+ miles from the site are eligible for $100/day ($700/week). Per diem applies to onsite days only.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain virtual and physical servers (Windows, VMware, Linux).Configure and troubleshoot SCADA/DCS platforms (Ovation and Common Q required).Maintain and support ICS networks and protocols (Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, OPC).Provide technical assessments of vendor recommendations and Field Change Notices (FCNs).Assist in Factory and Site Acceptance Testing.Collaborate closely with vendors, stakeholders, and engineering teams.Provide regular project and system updates to leadership.Required Qualifications5+ years experience in ICS control systems design and management.5+ years nuclear industry experience.Hands-on expertise in Windows, VMware, Linux environments.SCADA/DCS configuration experience (Ovation and Common Q mandatory).Scripting and programming skills (Ladder Logic, PowerShell, etc.).Cisco IOS firewall and switch configuration experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing.Preferred QualificationsCybersecurity experience in ICS/SCADA environments.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience.Direct nuclear facility experience highly preferred.Interview ProcessVirtual Interview via Microsoft Teams (Camera On)This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with a respected nuclear power operator in Richmond, VA area.
