Digital Lab Engineer Apply
Job Summary:
Note: This is not a desktop support position; must be local to the DMV area and able to work in a hybrid capacity.
- Provide hands-on technical operational support for lab-based systems and instruments, ensuring scientists can work efficiently.
- Analyze and assess current lab equipment for Windows 10 upgrade compatibility and implement necessary updates across 700+ instruments.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and reconnect lab systems in real time, resolving technical issues as they arise for end users in a regulated lab environment.
- Build, configure, and validate laboratory IT systems, integrating with applications such as LIMS, ELN, CDS, and equipment imaging systems.
- Collaborate with Science, Facilities, Quality, and IT teams to deliver and support new lab technologies and infrastructure.
- Develop basic scripts or automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to enhance workflows, data transfers, and reporting for lab operations.
- Participate in validation and qualification processes for lab systems (IQ/OQ/PQ) in compliance with GxP and internal standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and system inventory (CMDB) and coordinate with vendors to assess and implement new lab solutions.
- Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement and digital innovation within the laboratory environment.
- Must have previous experience with technical lab IT support, including familiarity with lab equipment and clean room lab environments.
