We are seeking a Digital Merchandising & Product Data Analyst to join our team. This Digital Merchandising & Product Data Analyst role will involve managing, enriching, and optimizing product data and digital merchandising content across online platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in product attribute standardization, category management, site merchandising, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration, with a passion for improving digital customer experiences and driving conversion through accurate and engaging product presentation.
Job Title: Digital Merchandising & Product Data Analyst Location: Texas City, TX (On-site/Hybrid) Duration: 6 Months (Contract) Rate/Salary: Competitive (Benefits included as applicable) Job Description: The Digital Merchandising & Product Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring that product data is accurate, complete, consistent, and optimized across digital channels. This role plays a critical part in how customers discover, evaluate, and purchase products online by maintaining high-quality product content, structured category hierarchies, and standardized attributes.
As a Digital Merchandising & Product Data Analyst, you will work closely with Marketing, Inventory, Vendors, Buyers, and internal stakeholders to support product launches, promotions, and ongoing merchandising strategies. You will manage both upstream and downstream product data processes, ensuring alignment across ERP systems, digital platforms, and analytics tools.
Key Responsibilities: -
Maintain and enrich product data to ensure accurate and compelling online presentations, including imagery, videos, descriptions, specifications, customer decision trees, and taxonomy

Perform product attribute standardization across multiple categories through competitive research, analysis, and definition of customer decision trees and taxonomy structures

Conduct regular audits of product content to ensure accuracy, consistency, quality, and alignment with brand standards

Partner with vendors and suppliers to acquire, validate, and manage high-quality product content and digital assets

Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop cross-channel merchandising strategies, aligning website product presentation with mobile apps, email campaigns, and social media

Manage and optimize product placement, categorization, and discoverability across websites and digital channels to improve conversion

Utilize analytics tools to measure product performance, identify trends, and recommend data-driven merchandising improvements

Work closely with Marketing and Inventory teams to ensure promotional readiness and stock availability for featured products

Continuously improve product presentation by testing and implementing enhancements to descriptions, imagery, and overall user experience

Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of product updates, promotions, and performance metrics

Perform other related duties as assigned
Additional Responsibilities: -
Create and manage merchandise category hierarchies, including assignment and reassignment of articles within the hierarchy

Manage ERP product data, including logistics data, sellable unit configuration (pack size), POS/sales data, and product expiry

Manage supplier changes and ensure product records are updated accurately and timely

Monitor and manage product performance, including delivery and availability metrics

Oversee digital enrichment data, including supplier enrichment, internal enrichment activities, and data syndication opportunities

Demonstrate strong understanding of merchandising, product management, and end-to-end supply chain processes

Provide support for new product launches, ensuring readiness across systems and digital platforms

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including Buyers, vendors, and cross-functional teams

Ensure adherence to SLA and KPI targets across processes

Handle team coordination, training, motivation, and knowledge transfer activities

Manage escalations, issue resolution, quality monitoring, and exception handling

Identify and manage potential risks impacting delivery, data quality, or timelines

Review and monitor market research activities to support merchandising and category decisions

Absorb processes diligently and train associates effectively to ensure continuity and quality
As a Digital Merchandising & Product Data Analyst, you will act as a key contributor in improving digital product experiences, operational efficiency, and merchandising performance.
Required Experience & Qualifications: -
Graduate degree preferred in Marketing, Business, or Merchandising

Experience in Category Management, Site Merchandising, Product Attribute Standardization, and Product Quality Review

Strong experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and delivering as an individual contributor
