Currently we are seeking a Digital Retoucher to join our Creative team.


The Digital Retoucher is responsible for executing high-quality post-production photography and image editing in support of the Marketing, Product, and Brand teams across our premium brands Nuna Baby and Tavo Pets. This role is primarily focused on product imagery, ensuring visual consistency, color accuracy, and brand integrity across all marketing and e-commerce channels.


Leveraging advanced retouching expertise and Adobe Photoshop, the Digital Retoucher performs detailed color correction, background compositing, lighting and tonal adjustments, and complex image manipulation to precisely match product samples and maintain cohesive visual standards. The role also involves resolving visual inconsistencies in product samples through precise and thoughtful retouching techniques.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Product Photography Editing & Retouching

  • Perform comprehensive editing of product photography assets while maintaining strict adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Apply general and specific color corrections to images to match product samples.
  • Reformat and resize imagery.
  • Advanced retouching and enhancing of product, people, and settings.
  • Retouching tasks to include but not limited to clipping & pathing, compositing, masking, sharpening, resizing, clipping paths, drop shadows and reflections.


Creative Collaboration & Standards Development

  • Receive, interpret, and implement creative feedback through ongoing review cycles, incorporating revisions efficiently and accurately.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to develop editing standards, templates, and workflows for specific product lines or brands when editing concepts or guidelines are not yet defined.


Lifestyle Photography Support

  • Provide retouching support for lifestyle photography assets as needed to meet brand and campaign requirements.


Asset Management & Organization

  • Maintain flawlessly organized photo banks for all marketing efforts.


Teamwork & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Establish and maintain effective, cooperative, and collaborative working relationships with team members, colleagues, customers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to the business team effort by accomplishing other related tasks and duties as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years professional photography and retouching experience, preferably in a high volume, deadline-driven production environment.
  • Consumer Product ecommerce industry experience preferred.
  • Experience developing or implementing editing standards, templates, or workflows for creative teams or product lines.

Portfolio demonstrating a strong fundamental understanding of:

  • Advanced retouching, compositing, clipping, masking, color correcting.
  • Lifestyle photography by minimally correcting only essential elements while staying true to the original nature of the natural lifestyle photography.
  • Before & after image examples required.

Education

  • B.A. or B.F.A. in Photography or a related field.


Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional eye for image quality, strong visual IQ to adjust lighting/level appropriately with a meticulous eye for detail and consistency.
  • Well-developed photo editing skills to include but not limited to:
  • Product photography
  • Creating clipping paths, drop shadows, adjusting color, masking, sharpening, retouching, resizing, etc.
  • Lifestyle photography
  • Broad edits, adjusting exposure, contrast, and color balance; using masking to adjust specific spots within an image; and advanced retouching skills.
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Effective listener, communicator, and networker.
  • Adaptability to new tools and processes, including AI.
  • Strong aptitude for organization and managing multiple projects, while remaining flexible through the process.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to accept constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrates stability and reliability in independently completing work assignments and carrying out instructions.
  • Ability to use judgment and know when to ask for assistance on levels of complexity required to get desired critical image quality.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment through strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Technology

Advanced skills in the use of:

  • Adobe Creative Suites, Illustrator; Photoshop, Lightroom.
  • MS Office on a Mac OSX platform.

Working Knowledge of:

  • AI imaging tools for corrective and creative editing
  • best practices in media organizations, naming conventions, and backup protocols to support fast-paced, high-volume teams.

Experience with:

  • Project management software, Wrike strongly preferred
  • Digital asset management systems, Media Valet preferred
  • Payroll/timecard systems, Paycom preferred
  • Ability to quickly and proficiently learn new software with ease.


Other

Ability to:

  • work extended hours as business needs warrant, may on occasion include nights and weekends.
  • lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Employees who are in Non-Exempt positions must accurately complete, obtain approval by their manager and timely submit a timecard in the form provided by the Company, as it coincides with the Company’s bi-weekly payroll schedule.
