Patience's Compassionate Care LLC is a leading provider of support services for individuals with developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our clients by providing person-centered care and support.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living activities, including but not limited to personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and recreational activities. You will develop and implement individualized care plans, promote independence and community integration, and ensure the safety and well-being of our clients. This is a deeply rewarding position that requires patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.


Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and instructions
  • Plan and facilitate recreational and social activities
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as necessary
  • Document and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to acquire within 30 days of employment)
