Your contributions as a DSP will help foster independence, self-sufficiency, and make a positive impact in the community. You will assist with daily activities, provide emotional support, and encourage meaningful participation in community events. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Support individuals in completing daily living activities and developing independent living skills.
  • Encourage and engage individuals in recreational and community activities to promote socialization.
  • Document daily activities and individual's progress, providing insights to the care team.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals under your care.
  • Collaborate with team members and families to provide comprehensive support to individuals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in human services or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in direct care or support roles is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation for community outings.
  • Openness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Ability to complete CPR and First Aid training, if not already certified.
