Your Work May Include Reading, understanding and following the client’s Individual Support Plan (ISP), and reporting back to the IDD Program Specialist Supporting individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care (e.g. grooming, hygiene), or transportation Encouraging participation in social and community activities – shopping, social events, etc. Helping people achieve personal goals and celebrate progress Promoting choice, independence, and self-advocacy Accurately documenting care, activities, and progress Communicating with team members to ensure consistent, quality support What You Need High school diploma or equivalent; or completion of a state-approved training program; or demonstrate skills and receive a passing score on a written competency test Successful background check and required in-service trainings At least 18 years old Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, inspection and registration Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact Sign-on bonus terms: $1,000 sign-on bonus is valid for applicants effective 1/1/2025. The bonus is paid in two increments: $500 after the caregiver has worked 500 hours from the start date, and $500 after 1,000 hours. Caregiver must be active at payout and meet minimum electronic visit verification of 85%. Bonuses are paid within 30 days of eligibility. New caregivers and former caregivers who have not worked for Help at Home since prior to 1/1/2024 are eligible. Caregivers transferring from another organization within the Help at Home, LLC portfolio are not eligible.
