With minimal supervision from the AVP of Facilities, the Director, Facilities assumes responsibility for daily planning, coordinating, implementing and supervising of all activities concerned with repair, maintenance, construction and alterations of the site systems and facilities. Plans and directs the activities of all Engineering & Construction employees in order to maintain a safe and properly functioning environment for patients, employees and visitors. Position: Director, Facilities Shift: Day Experience: 10 plus years of progressive experience in facilities and plant operations/maintenance required, 5 to 8 years of management experience in Hospital Engineering Departmental Management, knowledge of NFPA codes as related to Health Care facilities, knowledge of rules and regulations of Federal, State and Local agencies, knowledge and understanding of Pennsylvania's Department of Health and TJC Life Safety Codes and inspection requirements. Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or its equivalent in work experience required Responsibilities Assumes responsibility for daily planning, coordinating, implementing and supervising of all activities concerned with repair, maintenance, construction and alterations of the site systems and facilities.
