This role manages IT infrastructure, casino management systems, cybersecurity, vendor relationships, and a team of IT professionals to deliver reliable, innovative technology solutions in a highly regulated environment.A day in your life:Develop and execute the casino's IT strategy aligned with business and regulatory requirementsPartner with executive leadership to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance guest experience, operational efficiency, and compliance.Lead IT projects related to casino openings, system upgrades, and enterprise integrations.Oversee all IT systems, including casino systems, slot and table game interfaces, hotel and F&B systems, payroll/HRIS, and financial platforms.Ensure uptime, performance, and integration of critical systems across gaming and non-gaming operations.Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, data centers, wireless systems, and disaster recovery.Maintain compliance with state gaming regulations, including Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) requirements.Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect sensitive customer, employee, and financial dataCollaborate with regulators and internal auditors on technology compliance reviews.Evaluate emerging technologies (AI, cloud, mobile, digital payment solutions) to improve guest engagement and operational excellence.Drive automation and analytics to enhance decision-making, reduce costs, and optimize workforce productivity.Implement best practices in IT governance, risk management, and change control.Lead and mentor the IT team to deliver responsive, customer-focused support for all departments.Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and managed services, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.Coordinate with surveillance, security, and compliance departments on integrated technology needs.What you'll bring to the team:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred).10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in gaming, hospitality, or a highly regulated industry.Casino-opening experience preferredIn-depth knowledge of casino management systems, slot systems, and regulatory compliance (IGB experience highly preferred).Strong background in cybersecurity, network administration, and enterprise systems.Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 hospitality and gaming environment.Onsite expectations:OnsiteLocation: Chicago, ILWork environment:Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift to access equipment and support operational needs across the property.Ability to lift, carry, and move IT equipment (computers, servers, networking hardware, etc.) weighing up to 30 pounds.Must be able to visually inspect systems, cabling, and equipment in both office and casino floor environments.Requires the ability to communicate clearly in person, over the phone, and via digital platforms.Must be able to work in a 24/7 casino environment, including exposure to gaming floor conditions such as noise, lights, and frequent walking between departments.Occasional travel may be required for training, vendor meetings, or corporate initiatives.
