Job Title: Director, Laboratory

The Director of Laboratory is responsible for overseeing all laboratory operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic services. This leadership role is critical in supporting patient care and maintaining high standards in an acute care setting.

• Operational Oversight:

  • Manage daily laboratory operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to protocols.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize laboratory performance.

• Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Maintain laboratory accreditation standards and prepare for inspections.

• Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor laboratory staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee hiring, training, and performance evaluations for laboratory personnel.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Implement and monitor quality control programs to maintain accurate diagnostic results.

  • Address and resolve any issues related to laboratory operations or test results.

• Required Documents:

  • Medical Technologist Certificate

  • ASCP Certification or equivalent

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Willingness to obtain a Kentucky state license upon offer

• Preferred Experience:

  • Department leadership experience

  • Laboratory leadership experience in an acute care setting
