Description:

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

The hours could fluctuate between 7am-6pm but standard 8-hour shift.

This is a temp to hire opportunity and conversion could happen anytime after 8-weeks.

This is a high level director role. Candidates must have experience, strong professional presence, communicate well, and have clear examples to share about their experiences during the interview.

This role requires someone with experience from a Director level position overseeing medical staff and services.

This role is similar to a Chief of Staff position in regards to the support it will offer the Providers and Medical Officers.

This is a small team working at this location which consists of about 6-8 medical staff (Executive Assistant, Admin Asst, Coordinator, etc.)

Interviews will likely be at least 2-rounds with 2 Doctors who are the SVP & COO. The first round might be team's or could be onsite, this will be confirmed once canddiates are identified to interview. Please make sure candidates can interview onsite or teams.

candidates must be local to the working location.

This is an onsite position could offer remote flexibility on as needed basis.

Candidates must have experience with universal software programs such as Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, EMR systems, and other general systems.

Candidates must have experience working with Provider enrollments, Provider credentialing, new hire onboarding, medical office operations, staff schedules, medical corporate office functions and process flows, etc.

JOB SUMMARY:

The position is responsible for the management of medical staff services, providing support for functions of medical staff including governance, credentialing, and communications.

Qualifications-

  • Education & Training: Bachelor's degree in related field required, Masters preferred. Current certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (CPMSM or CPCS), or achievement of certification within two years.

Work Orientation & Experience-

(a) Ten years progressive experience required in hospital Medical Staff Administration;

(b) Six years demonstrated experience managing multiple projects with follow-through required;

(c) Six years thorough knowledge of TJC and CMS, NCQA and URAC standards and requirements is required;

(d) Six years background in Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement and Medical Staff CME verification preferred;

(e) Knowledge of medical terminology.

Skills & Abilities-

(a) Able to communicate effectively with medical staff and hospital personnel;

(b) able to adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of administration and the medical staff;

(c) computer/word processing skills;

(d) able to plan, organize and implement projects involving complex issues and personalities;

(e) able to exercise good judgment;

(f) able to maintain confidentiality.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-At least 10+ years working in a relevant position at a Director level overseeing medical staff/facility operations.

-6+ years thorough knowledge of TJC and CMS, NCQA and URAC standards and requirements is required.

-6+ years background in Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement and Medical Staff CME verification preferred.

-Knowledge of medical terminology.

-Experience directly reporting to Providers who are SVP's & COOs.

-A Bachelors degree in a related field of some sort (healthcare administration, business administration, nursing administration, etc.), Master's degree is preferred but BA required.

-Possess a current certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (CPMSM or CPCS), or is willing to achieve this certification within two years of hire.
