  • $109,762 – $120,000 (0–3 years of Director-level experience)

  • $120,000 – $137,155 (approximately 10 years of experience)

  • $137,155 – $150,000 (15+ years of experience)

  • Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (non-internal candidates)

  • Relocation Assistance: Available

Job Description

Overview

A Level I Trauma acute care hospital in Central Florida is seeking an experienced Director of Case Management to lead hospital-wide care coordination, utilization management, and discharge planning operations. This role oversees a dedicated case management team supporting a fast-paced inpatient environment and reports to divisional case management leadership.

This opportunity is well-suited for an RN or LCSW leader with recent acute care experience, strong operational oversight capabilities, and the ability to lead interdisciplinary teams in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all case management functions

  • Direct daily department operations, including staffing models, skill mix, FTE oversight, onboarding, and staff competencies

  • Ensure high-quality care coordination and discharge planning with timely and accurate documentation

  • Oversee utilization management and core case management practices

  • Partner with finance and divisional leadership to achieve quality, throughput, and operational goals

  • Monitor performance metrics, analyze data, and implement sustainable performance improvement initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

  • Establish collaborative relationships with executive leaders, physicians, nursing, legal, and compliance teams

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

  • Minimum 3 years of recent acute care hospital case management experience

  • Minimum 2 years of case management leadership experience

  • Recent acute care experience (within the past year)

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or Business Administration

  • Experience in Level I Trauma or high-volume hospital environments

  • Director-level experience or readiness to step into enterprise-level leadership

Strong licensed clinical social workers with leadership experience in larger hospitals will be considered.
