Position Overview: The Director of Cloud Services will be responsible for overseeing and managing our cloud infrastructure, strategy, and operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and leadership skills to guide our cloud initiatives and ensure the successful deployment, management, and optimization of our cloud resources. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies, a proven track record in cloud architecture and operations, and the ability to lead a team of cloud professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's cloud strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers and architects, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Manage cloud budgets, optimize costs, and ensure efficient use of cloud resources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions with other IT systems and business processes.
  • Ensure the security, compliance, and reliability of cloud services in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and tools to enhance the company's cloud capabilities.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud environments.
  • Monitor and report on cloud performance, including metrics, KPIs, and service levels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud computing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, deployment models, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in managing cloud budgets and optimizing costs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
