Job Summary: The Director of Content will oversee all content-related activities, including strategy development, content creation, and content planning. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of content trends, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive content strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
- Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality content across various platforms
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to produce engaging and innovative media campaigns enabled through content
- Analyze content performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize results
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of content innovation
- Work with in-house creative team along with external agencies to develop all content. Content includes but is not limited to:
- Social Media Content: Posts, stories, videos, and live streams for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Copy, Blog Posts and Articles: Informative and engaging written content for the company's website or external publications in long form and short form.
- Video Content: Promotional videos, tutorials, interviews, webinars, and behind-the-scenes footage.
- Podcasts: Audio content that can include interviews, discussions, and storytelling.
- Infographics: Visual representations of data and information to make complex topics more accessible.
- Advertisements: Both digital (e.g., banner ads, social media ads) and traditional (e.g., print ads, TV commercials).
- Interactive Content: Quizzes, polls, and interactive infographics that engage the audience.
- Case Studies and Testimonials: Stories and feedback from customers showcasing the company's impact and success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Media, Communications, Marketing, Art or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Knowledge of the auto, auto care, and aftermarket industries a plus
- Proven experience in a senior content role, with a track record of successful content and media campaigns
- Strong understanding of digital media, social media, and traditional media channels
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to think creatively and strategically
