Easterseals NH services include early childhood centers of excellence, medical rehabilitation, camping and recreation, vocational services, senior services, substance use treatment, adult day programs, community-based services, individual service options, transportation services, residential service options, and veterans services.

We are seeking a Director of Finance to join our team! In collaboration with the Finance staff team, the individual in this key position will provide direct business support to programs, maintaining the highest standards for Easterseals with consideration to furthering Easterseals mission and strengthening financial sustainability for the future.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide business support and partnership to finance team, budget managers and programs for relevant financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, audit and metrics for benchmarking and assessing financial viability.
  • Serve as staff liaison as requested to align financial needs of programs with business functions and to manage finance related activities, including budget oversight to monitor and enhance financial performance.
  • Prepare and file external and rate setting reports (990, Audit, UFR, DHHS, DOE) and prepare system for establishing, monitoring and sustaining rates.
  • Manage projects and project teams as assigned to perform financial assessment with appropriate financial reports to include written discussion and analyses.
  • Develop business proposals with proformas and analyses.
  • Perform process review seeking improvements to streamline process, enhance controls and refine reporting.
  • Work in collaboration with accounting, administrative, program and development staff to ensure effective financial reporting and processes.
  • Provide support to Billing staff and Program staff to enhance billing practices and processes and to maximize and increase revenues.
  • Prepare reconciliations for various accounts and monitor these accounts monthly ensuring financial statement integrity. Research and resolve related issues.
  • Prepare assigned audit schedules and work papers including account fluctuation analysis.
  • Prepare general ledger entries as required for areas of responsibility.
  • Work as a team player with a focus on the organizations mission/vision and values.
  • Continually review and refine procedures and processes to create efficiencies and enhance effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in a business field
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years experience in business administration
  • MBA and nonprofit, health care or human services background preferred
  • Strong background in financial analysis, business and project management and business writing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with attention to customer focus
  • Proficient in use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Compensation: Starting $100k annually.
Hours: This is a full-time, exempt level role.
