On behalf of our client, Flexospan Steel Buildings, Inc., Decision Associates is seeking an experienced Director of Finance. Established in 1969, Flexospan is a leading manufacturer of metal roofing and siding, along with complete self-storage packages. Located in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania, USA, Flexospan is committed to providing quality products and exceptional service to the metal construction industry.
The Director of Finance is a key partner to the executive leadership, confidentially ensuring accurate reporting of Flexospan’s finances. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of federal and multi-state tax reporting, and experience in establishing financial strategies to ensure long-term fiscal security for Flexospan. The four major areas of responsibility include general accounting practices, fiscal management, risk management, and legal/compliance.
*This is a 100% on-site role and will require relocation if not already living in or around Sandy Lake, PA.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strong professional standards and confidentiality of company information
- Extensive knowledge in multi-state sales & use tax and fuel tax/IFTA, as well as preparing and filing returns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reimbursements
- Assist company management and outside CPA firm with internal and external audits, and annual financial and tax reporting compliance requirements
- Provide management with short- and long-term operational and strategic financial objectives, offer recommendations, and prepare forecasting reports
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support the executive team, to include identifying trends, variances, and potential areas of improvement
- Advise the executive team on financial risks and challenges that may impact on the company’s profitability
- Assure the protection of assets through internal control, oversight, and proper insurance coverage
- Review and negotiate customer and vendor terms and conditions, contracts, and/or purchase orders
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, industry regulations, and company policies
- Willingness to meet challenges and changes in a positive mindset
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a concentration in business administration
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Ability to maintain and understand the importance of confidentiality
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, with exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and accounting software - Sage 50 preferred
- Background in manufacturing preferred
