This is a full-time position within the Strategic Enrollment and Marketing Division.

Job Description
The Director of Graduate Recruitment provides strategic direction and day-to-day management of graduate admissions recruitment tactics, staff development, and achievement of team deliverables. The Director develops and implements all university recruitment programs and activities targeted at graduate enrollment, and the recruitment and processing personnel who conduct these operations.
  • In response to the Universitys Strategic Enrollment Management Plan, create and implement the recruiting and admissions plan, including enrollment targets, for new graduate students and attract prospects to apply to the university, working with prospective students through inquiry, application, and admission decision phases.
  • Exercise supervisory authority so that applicable labor agreements and plans are equitably administered and employees under this positions jurisdiction will effectively perform assigned job duties to achieve the annual objectives of the Admissions Office.
  • Provide strategic direction of graduate admissions at the university.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Admissions Office and Recruitment communication flows to prospective graduate students. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to inform their efforts in creation of a marketing plan to support the recruitment plans.

Required Qualifications
The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • 3 years of experience in admissions and/or recruitment in an education setting to include supervisory/leadership/lead work experience.
  • Experience working with diverse, underrepresented and/or underserved communities and/or organizations.
  • Demonstrated critical analysis skills to evaluate, prioritize, and resolve complex issues at the departmental level.
  • Experience with a CRM in an educational admissions environment
  • Demonstrated experience in making formal/informal and engaging presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the use of computer software programs for email, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Experience creating recruitment communication plans.
  • Experience in program planning and development
  • Demonstrated knowledge of enrollment management student lifecycle
  • Commitment to collaboration, thinking creatively and moving ideas from concept to reality.
  • Evidence of the ability to manage and complete projects, prioritize work, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, attend to detail, anticipate office needs, and meet deadlines.

Other Requirements
Physical Requirements of the Job: Requires occasional lifting and/or carrying such articles as file folders, boxes, and hand tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

Notice: In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota States vehicle use criteria and consent to a motor vehicle records check.
