Job Description

The Director of Maintenance & Engineering leads all maintenance and engineering operations within a fast-paced beverage manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring a safe, compliant, and efficient production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment, utilities, and facility systems
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations and quickly resolve equipment issues to support production goals
  • Manage maintenance and capital budgets, including forecasting and cost control
  • Lead capital projects from planning through execution
  • Implement and manage CMMS to track work orders, assets, and performance metrics
  • Partner with Operations to align maintenance schedules with production needs
  • Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and environmental regulations (OSHA, FDA, etc.)
  • Manage vendor relationships and contractor performance
  • Maintain spare parts inventory to reduce downtime and control costs
  • Drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability and plant efficiency
  • Hire, lead, and develop maintenance team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing (food/beverage preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial systems
  • Experience with CMMS and capital project management
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing setting with exposure to production equipment and varying conditions
  • Regular, reliable attendance required
