Salary Range: $135,000 to $170,000

Job Description:

Augmentjobs is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Market Access to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing market access strategies to ensure optimal access to our products. This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including payer and reimbursement dynamics, regulatory requirements, and competitive intelligence. The Director of Market Access will work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to drive access and reimbursement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Execution:

   • Develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies to support product launches and life-cycle management.

   • Lead the development of value propositions and evidence generation plans to support market access and reimbursement efforts.

2. Payer Engagement:

   • Establish and maintain relationships with key payers, health plans, and reimbursement decision-makers.

   • Negotiate and manage contracts with payers to ensure favorable coverage and reimbursement for our products.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration:

   • Collaborate with internal teams including Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Legal to align market access strategies with overall business objectives.

   • Provide market access insights to inform clinical development and commercial strategies.

4. Policy and Advocacy:

   • Monitor and influence healthcare policy changes and trends that impact market access and reimbursement.

   • Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and advocacy groups to advocate for favorable market access conditions.

5. Data Analysis and Reporting:

   • Analyze market access data, including payer coverage, reimbursement rates, and competitive landscape.

   • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management.

6. Team Leadership:

   • Lead and mentor a team of market access professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development.

   • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Economics, Public Health, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PhD) preferred.

• Experience:

  • 6 to 8 years of experience in market access, payer relations, health economics, or related roles in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Proven track record of successful market access strategy development and execution.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, payer landscapes, and reimbursement processes.

  • Knowledge of health economics, outcomes research, and value-based healthcare principles.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with external stakeholders.
