The Director of Network Operations at Augmentjobs will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of the company's network infrastructure. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of network systems and a proven track record of managing complex network operations. The Director will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the network, while also leading a team of network professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute network strategies aligned with company objectives to support growth and operational efficiency.

• Network Management: Oversee the daily operations of the network infrastructure, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring network availability and reliability.

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

• Budget Management: Prepare and manage the budget for network operations, including procurement of hardware, software, and services.

• Security Oversight: Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to protect the company's data and network from cyber threats.

• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support.

• Project Management: Oversee network-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and expansions, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network operations.

• Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on network performance, issues, and improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

• Experience: 6-10 years of experience in network operations or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

• Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

  • Experience with network monitoring tools and performance management.

  • Strong understanding of network security practices and protocols.

  • Proficiency in network design and architecture.

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage projects, and handle multiple priorities.

• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are preferred.
