Director Of Npi Engineering Apply
BCT is in search of a Director of NPI Engineering (New Product Introduction) that can transfer new products from design to manufacturing. Need to be proficient in leading a tiered support process for the resolution of manufacturing & sustaining issues to minimize interruptions of design teams. This is an onsite contract-to-hire in Addison, TX to start immediately.
SALARY OFFERED: Up to $200K plus bonus depending on the candidates experience, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage in led product development processes to deliver test equipment, work instructions & documentation as required to the manufacturing team
- Implement a support process to resolve supply chain, manufacturing & technical issues while minimizing project interruptions
- Manage the Product, Test & Manufacturing Engineers on NPI Engineering team plus administer training & performance evaluations
- Create & maintain an onboarding, training & mentoring process for recent graduate hires
- Establish a culture of empowerment, autonomy, and accountability
- Partner with Design Engineering, Operations & Program Management Office (PMO) teams to communicate the NPI team priorities
- Cooperate with the Design Engineering team to bring DFx requirements for new programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent field (Master's in Engineering or MBA beneficial)
- Regulated product industry experience like Aviation (preferred), Medical Devices, or Aerospace/Defense
- Experience of 3-5 years in a multi-disciplined engineering leadership role with minimum of 10 direct reports is a must
- Experience as a leader in Transfer to Manufacturing, New Product Introduction (NPI), PCBA functional test engineering or equivalent roles required. 8-10 years of experience in these roles preferred but minimum 5 years of experience required
- Expert process knowledge for incoming and first-article inspection of mechanical parts using detailed mechanical drawings & control plans
- Proficient knowledge of PCBA & electronic sub-assembly functional test equipment, processes, and assemblies preferred
- Experience developing manufacturing work instructions & test plans preferred
- Knowledgeable of Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing, PCBA & functional test equipment and processes
