Director of Nursing Assisted Living
Pomeroy Living is seeking a highly skilled Director of Nursing to manage our nursing department and ensure the highest quality of care for our residents at our state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating nursing care and services provided to residents, developing policies and procedures, and managing a team of nursing professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the nursing department and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Evaluate nursing care and services provided to residents and implement improvements as needed
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of care
- Manage a team of nursing professionals and provide ongoing training and support
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care for residents
- Monitor performance and provide feedback to nursing staff
- Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new nursing staff
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care provided
Requirements:
- Active nursing license in the state of Michigan
- Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
