Job Title: Director of Nursing (DON)

Location: Ridgewood, NJ 07450

Pay Rate: $66/hr

Duration: 9 weeks contract

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in nursing leadership, a deep commitment to patient care, and the ability to manage and inspire a team of nursing professionals. As the Director of Nursing, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our facility provides the highest quality of care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Supervision: Lead, mentor, and manage the nursing staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
• Policy Development & Implementation: Develop and enforce nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and promote best practices in patient care.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee patient care activities to ensure that care standards are met and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Budget Management: Manage the nursing department's budget, ensuring the effective allocation of resources while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all nursing practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations, and prepare the facility for inspections and audits.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and administrators, to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
• Patient Care Oversight: Monitor and enhance the quality of care provided to patients, ensuring that care plans are implemented effectively and compassionately.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and nursing best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
